Purpose – This paper's aim is to explore the benefits accruing from a multi generational workforce. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is an evaluation of employer experiences. Findings – Workplaces benefit from a multi generational workforce; and employers have yet to systematically harness and leverage these benefits. Originality/value – As employers begin to think of workforces in generational terms, they will need to understand the benefits arising from a comprehensive understanding of the relationships between employee generations.
