George Lamming, a seminal Caribbean novelist, writer, and thinker, is the author of six novels and a remarkable volume of essays, along with several other works. He belongs to a generation of Caribbean writers and intellectuals who carved out a space for Caribbean literature and thought in the twentieth century.
