I extend that respect to Wiradjuri woman Jennifer Newman and thank Jennifer for her Acknowledgment of Country. I pay my respects to other Aboriginal People who may be here today. Always was, always is, and always will be, never ceded, Aboriginal Land. Janet would be very honored. Thank you, Shaoquett, and everyone involved. By her own description, Janet was not a political person. Janet’s political awakening came when she met Wael. You can’t tell the story of Janet or her con- tribution towards human rights for the Palestinian people without telling some of the story of Wael Zuaiter.
