She served as the international president of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom from 2015 – 18. Tani Barlow is a professor of Chinese history at Rice University. She is the author of the forth - coming monograph In the Event of Women. Tina Mai Chen is a professor of history at the University of Manitoba. She publishes on topics related to Sino- Soviet cultural exchange, media and film in the People’s Republic of China, and socialist feminism as ideal and practice. Her recent work includes curating the exhibit “Moving Images, Moving People” (featuring multimedia works by Tong Lam), Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival (2019). Katri Kauhanen is a doctoral candidate at the University of Turku.
