AbstractBean is one of the main legacy crops that play an important role in the planting structure of Korça region. Appreciating the bean as a rich food for man, the ancients have particularly been careful in the past to select and preserve the cultivars that have adapted to the ecological conditions of the country. This is evidenced by the large number of legumes planted or labeled according to the areas or villages where they have spread more. At present, this property poses a potential risk, the phenomenon of "genetic erosion". Farmers in the region use the zoned populations of beans. The study of these populations constitutes a necessity for the preservation of the autochthonous germoplasma of the beans as well as the competitive aspects and their spreading. The study revealed the germoplasma of autochthonous bean populations for the region of Korca.
