Abstract A new layered complex (C 6 H 11 NH 3 ) 2 (Mn(N 3 ) 4 ), in which two-dimensional (Mn(N 3 ) 4 ) n 2− networks are separated by cyclohexylammonium cation bilayers, was synthesized. The complex has been characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analyses, and magnetic measurements. Magnetic susceptibility data indicate antiferromagnetic interaction among the Mn(II) metal centers.
