Semi-Markov Approach to the Shipping Safety Modelling Abstract In the paper the navigational safety model of a ship on the open area has been studied under conditions of incomplete information. Moreover the structure of semi-Markov processes is used to analyse the stochastic ship safety according to the subjective acceptance of risk by the navigator.
