It begins with an up-to-date synopsis of its field of interest, bringing together an anthology of 15 entries and seminal overviews and studies by the most distinguished scholars, such as White, Chilton, Wodak, Östman, Sarangi and others. It addresses many interdisciplinary and discursive topics, theories and perspectives in rhetoric, cognitive linguistics, semantics, language acquisition, sociolinguistics, communication studies, philosophy and literature.
