Examples from Polish-Russian (Kaliningrad Oblast) And Polish-Ukrainian Border Regions The aim of the paper is to recognize and to assess the scope of Non-Governmental Organisations cooperating across the Polish Eastern border. Non-Governmental Organisations as the vital element of civil society may play a significant role in stimulating social and economic relations between citizens from bordering countries. This paper is focused on the Polish - Russian (Kaliningrad Oblast) and Polish - Ukrainian border region and is based on empirical data from over 150 questionnaire surveys conducted on both sides of the border.
