AbstractThe regional development generates multiplier effects, causing the emergence and development of related sectors, subcontractors, and the regional services market, and contributing to the strengthening of the competitive position of the region. Export as an important factor of long-term growth may contribute to the reduction of development differences (income level) in the regions. The aim of this study was to discuss (on the basis of a literature review) a number of theories and concepts of development in the regional aspect.
