A low level jet case study in the southern part of Banat of vol nr BucureştiJournal Meteorology, 10
AbstractIn some situations, field positioning of air pressure through development of anticyclone in the north - northeast of Romania and a cyclone in the south-west, create conditions favoring intensifying dynamics of air masses in Oraviţa Depression area. This phenomenon generates a catabatic wind which is known local as Coşava. Mode of expression is as strong intensification of the burst, which gives rise to considerable material damages. This study takes into account the analysis of three cases considered by us to be representative.
