Application of human body movements on the avatars model for the purpose of virtual training system

Application of human body movements on the avatars model for the purpose of virtual training system AbstractThis paper deals with particular issues in detectionof human body’s movement using contactless sensorand consecutive application of recorded data on avatarsmodel. We aimed at applying transformations to the skeletonmodel and skin of the avatar. Initial stages includechoice of proper sensor and appropriate methods for transformationdescription. A semi-immersive virtual realitytraining system in the form of a fitting room has been chosenas a particular implementation of the body movementdetection and application. The fitting room was selectedbecause of its entertaining nature and a potential to beused as a training system for handicapped people withmovement impairments. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Open Computer Science de Gruyter
