PROBLEMS OF THE CHRONOLOGY OF LATE BRONZE AGE AND EARLY IRON AGE SITES IN EASTERN GEORGIA (KVEMO SASIRETI HOARD) NINO I. AKHVLEDIANI The purpose of this article is to consider the question of the relationships between the archaeological cultures of the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages within the territory of Eastern Georgia. Principally this article deals with the early stage, because precisely this period is the most controversial one. A number of chronological systems have been proposed for the chronology of the sites from this period (R. M. Abramishvili, 1 K. N. Pitskhelauri, 2 M. Bara- midze, 3 A. T. Ramishvili, 4 V. G. Sadradze 5 ). There are two main systems among these, which di ff er sharply from each other, those of Abramishvili and Pitskhelauri, on which the others were based.
