Notes on Contributors Journal of American-East Asian Relations 17 (2010) 199–200 © Koninklijke Brill NV, Leiden, 2010 DOI 10.1163/187656110X532023 brill.nl/jaer Notes on Contributors Jinwung Kim (Kim Chin-ung) is Professor of History at Kyungpook National University in Taegu, Republic of Korea (South Korea). He was a Fulbright scholar at Rutgers University (State University of New Jersey) between 1992 and 1993 and was invited to teach at Virginia Military Institute as Lopez Chair in Asian Studies between 2002 and 2003. He has published widely in a variety of venues, including books and journal articles. His numerous publica- tions refl ect interests in South Korean-U.S. relations, in particular South Korean perceptions of the United States, and American diplomatic history. Qian Suoqiao received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996 and is currently Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong. He had taught at several universities in both China and the United States, and was a Mellon Fellow in the Humanities at Barnard College, Columbia University (1997-99) and a Fulbright visiting scholar at Harvard University in 2009. Dr. Qian has published in both English and Chinese.
