Editorial Note

Editorial Note In 2023, International Review of Pragmatics celebrates its 15 years of existence—years that I will remember as challenging and busy, yet highly productive, rewarding and wonderfully rich in experience, both academically and socially, and altogether—extremely satisfying! In bare numbers, the IRP record goes as follows. In its infancy period, 2009–2011, the journal received 67 submissions, half of which were solicited. In the year 2022 alone, the number of unsolicited manuscripts was 143 by October, and is expected to grow by the end of the year. Until December 2011, we were recognized by merely three indexing and abstracting services. Currently, IRP is indexed in over 20 scholarly databases, including Scopus, ERIH Plus and Web of Science. Between 2009–2022 International Review of Pragmatics has published, in addition to stand-alone research articles, 7 full-size thematic collections—thus keeping an eye on and reviewing the ongoing developments in the field, such as the urgent advances in cognitive, multimodal and experimental pragmatics, reference and discourse structure, and intercultural studies, among others. In all these years our authors have been scholars from 38 countries on 6 continents. But there is more to our progress than the above figures. Devoted IRP readers will remember that the journal was launched http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png International Review of Pragmatics Brill
