Among the top- ics of o u r discussion w a s the admission of "Red China." If I recall correctly, I w a s assigned, despite m y objection, to argue against its admission. Even at that early age and from a mildly anti-Communist family, I t h o u g h t it obvious that a country w i t h "500 million people" s h o u l d be s e a t e d in a n o r g a n i z a t i o n that claimed to represent the w o r l d ' s family of nations.
