Their authors, the historians Ana Stolić and Jasmina Milanović, working re- spectively at the Institute of History and at the Institute for Contemporary History in Belgrade, concentrate their research interests around the history of everyday life and the evolution of women’s role in society since the nineteenth century, including the activities of humanitarian women’s societies such as the Society “Kneginja Ljubica” or the Circle of Serbian Sisters.
