Lymphocyte Hormone Receptors

Lymphocyte Hormone Receptors This review describes the functional effects on lymphocytes of receptors for a wide variety of hormones and autacoids. Lymphocytes include T cells and B cells. The lineage of NK and K cells is unclear, but in this review we consider them lymphocytes. T cells are divided into subsets, including regulatory cells (helper T cells, suppressor T cells, contra suppressor T cells) and effector T cells (delayed hypersensitivity T cells and cytotoxic T cells-CTL). Cell surface glycoproteins separate mouse and human T cells into two broad subsets. Most mouse helper and delayed hypersensitivity T cells are L3T4 + Lyt 1 + Ly t 2 - Ly t 3-. Most mouse suppressor T cells and CTL are L3T4- Lyt 1- Lyt 2+ Lyt 3+. Cell surface glycoproteins separate mouse and human T cells into two broad subsets. Most mouse helper and delayed hypersensitivity T cells are L3T4 + Lyt 1 + Ly t 2 - Ly t 3-. Most mouse suppressor T cells and CTL are L3T4- Lyt 1- Lyt 2+ Lyt 3+.
