EDITORIAL EDIT AR ORIAL TICLE In this issue of Nordic Psychology we bring articles that illustrate the broadness of psychology in the Nordic countries. The issue contains articles that outline empiri- cal results based on both quantitative and qualitative methods. Furthermore, this journal issue ends with an article based on theoretical analysis of the historical changing interpretations of character, personality and identity. In the first article The role of Grassroot Leaders in building Networks and organ- izing Learning Groups Marianne Sökjer-Petersen argues that two prerequisites for inter-organizational collective learning are recognition of common needs and goals that contribute to the construction of a collective identity and the presence of promoters, or grassroot leaders, able to create and maintain trust and confi- dence among participants. Furthermore, it is argued that if collective learning is to function properly networks need to become work groups.
