Parasitol., 92(6), 2006, pp. 1136­1149 American Society of Parasitologists 2006 Ninety-sixth Annual Council Meeting 6 August 2006 Scottish Exhibition and Conference Center, Glasgow, Scotland President Timothy Yoshino called the meeting to order at 0907 hr and made a few opening remarks. He then called for a motion to accept the 2005 minutes. Motion 1. Acceptance of the minutes of the 95th Council Meeting, 2005 (Dennis Minchella moved, David Marcogliese seconded, passed unanimously). President Yoshino then thanked all the outgoing and incoming officers, recognizing the following for their election and service: New officers for 2006­2007: President Stephen G. Kayes, President Elect Steven A. Nadler, and Vice President David S. Lindsay. Reelected secretary-treasurer for 2007­2009: John Janovy, Jr. New Council members-at-large for 2006­2010: Donald W. Duszynski, Judy Sakanari. New Nominating Committee for 2006­2007: Jack Bristol (chair), Anne Barse, Janine Caira, Cynthia L. Chappell, Michael Sukhdeo, and Charles Faulkner (alternate). New Student Council member-at-large for 2006­2007: Elizabeth A. Thiele. Outgoing Council members-at-large: Cynthia L. Chappell and David J. Marcogliese 2003­2006, and 2005­2006 Student Council member-at-large Jon J. Vermeire. Outgoing Nominating Committee: Mark L. Eberhard (chair), Leopoldina Aguirre-Macedo, Lee Couch, Mark C.
