THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOVERNMENT EFFECTIVENESS AND CORRUPTION The purpose of this article is to gain a deeper understanding of the pivotal role of the fraud and corruption risk assessment, the identification of possible fraud and corruption risks, the logical outcome of poor performance stemming from inequality and corruption, and the connection of corruption with fairness of the legal system. The literature on the institutional determinants of corruption relationships, the close relationship between government effectiveness and corruption, and the impact of corruption on foreign direct investment (FDI) is relevant to this discussion.
