The objective of this paper is to emphasize the effectiveness of anticybercrime activities, cybercrime’s adverse social impact, the insecurity of the digital world, and the evolution of cybercrime industry. The theory that we shall seek to elaborate here puts considerable emphasis on the weakest-link nature of much Internet security, the social costs of online crime, the use of digital architecture as a regulatory tool to combat cybercrime, and emergent forms and characteristics of cybercrime.
