SAGE Publishing Joins DeepDyve’s Innovative Rental Service for Scientific and Scholarly Research

DeepDyve Adds Hundreds of New Journals in Social Sciences, Life Sciences and More

Redwood City, CA and Thousand Oaks, CA – September 5, 2018

DeepDyve and SAGE Publishing today announced that SAGE will be adding nearly 800 of its journals to DeepDyve’s rental service for peer-reviewed journals. With this latest infusion of content, DeepDyve will now offer full-text access to over 20 million articles spanning nearly 15,000 journals.

“Where DeepDyve is able to enrich its current offering with the addition of our content, SAGE, in turn, is able to strengthen and expand its connection to new readers,” said Katherine Ryan, Global Head of Licensing at SAGE Publishing. “Since our founding, SAGE’s mission has been to support the dissemination of usable knowledge to educate a global community and this exciting partnership enables us to connect even further with an audience of non-academic researchers in pursuit if this aim.”

As the largest online rental service for scientific and scholarly research, DeepDyve offers its users affordable and convenient access to a vast database of authoritative, peer-reviewed journal articles. DeepDyve is designed to serve researchers in small to mid-sized organizations who are no longer affiliated with an academic library or work in large institutions which can afford this valuable information. DeepDyve’s users represent a diverse set of industries such as business and professional services, health and life sciences, high tech and others -- industries which overlap closely with SAGE’s journal content.

“SAGE Publishing is an ideal match for our service, with content that runs deep in the social sciences, life sciences and physical sciences,” said William Park, DeepDyve’s CEO. “We’re pleased to welcome SAGE’s high-quality content to our platform, as our users will benefit greatly from our newly expanded library of peer-reviewed journals.”
