Six Leading Publishers Join DeepDyve’s Online Rental Service for Scholarly Publications

DeepDyve’s Subscription Plans Gain Momentum with Support from Key Publishers

FEBRUARY 3, 2010 – Sunnyvale, CALIF — DeepDyve announced today that six major publishers have agreed to make their articles available via the company’s online rental service for research articles. These publishers will be adding important journals in the areas of information technology, social sciences and the humanities to its already strong collection of life sciences and medical publications.

“We are delighted to have such a strong show of support from our new publishing partners,” said William Park, CEO at DeepDyve. “Not only have we greatly enhanced the body of content we offer our users, but in doing so we help publishers reach new customers and combat the threat of piracy.”

Under the terms of their agreements, these publishers will be adding hundreds of thousands of articles spanning more than 700 journals to DeepDyve’s rental service. DeepDyve users can rent individual articles for as little as $0.99, or subscribe to one of the company’s monthly plans that provide access to multiple articles for an extended period.
